Activity During WWII

Served in the United States Army during WWII from November 17, 1945, through May 8, 1947. In November 1945. He was sent to Germany, Europe. He was assigned to 3759th QM Trk Co in ETO. He was a Truck Driver and Gas Attend, and his duties were driving trucks of 1 ton to 10 tons diesel fuel. He drove on long distance trips averaging 200 miles. He was responsible for performing 1st echelon driver’s maintenance of vehicle such as checking gas, oil, brakes, ignition, repairing tires and various other motor parts to insure maximum operation. He also made minor repairs or adjustments when necessary.
