Activity During WWII

My uncle and Mother’s brother, served as a Private in the 194th Glider Infantry Regiment. He was killed in action in the Battle of the Bulge on Jan. 4, 1945. Coincidentally, Jan. 4 is also the birthdate of his sister, who was serving in the U.S. Coastguard during WW II. He was 20 years old at the time of his death, and was awarded the Purple Heart.
