Activity During WWII

Enlisted in the US Army on June 25,1942. Stationed w/ the 109th Combat Engineers Battalion Co A. 34th Infantry "Red Bulls" Arrived in Belfast, Ireland May 13,1942 – Dec.13,1942. Landed Jan 1942 in Africa, Sept.1942 arrived in Sicily. Involved in numerous Operations from Salerno & Naples ,Crossing the Volturno River, Winter Line & The Anzio Beachhead where he was K.I.A. June 01,1944. Was Awarded the Purple Heart,WW2 Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, Army Good Conduct, Army Presidential Unit Citation & The European African Mediterranean Middle Eastern Campaign Medal w/Bronze Star, Honorable Lapel Pin. Had 5 Brothers & 2 Brother -in-Law's serve in WW2. He was the only brother K.I.A. I was able to get him awarded NYS Medal for Merit signed by the Adjutant General, The NYS Conspicuous Service Cross signed by the Governor and The NYS Conspicuous Service Star also signed by the Governor.
