Activity During WWII

He served with the Army Air Force from March 11, 1943, until December 26, 1944, and rose to the rank of Second Lieutenant. While completing a mission on December 26, 1944, in the Philippines, he did not return and is still Missing in Action, presumed dead. During his service in the 110th Squadron with the 71st Tactical Reconnaissance Group, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross with Oak Leaf Cluster as well as the Purple Heart. He is listed on the Manila American Cemetery Wall of the Missing.
