Activity During WWII

My father was a bazooka man in the 9th armored division. He was an Infantryman in a half track. They accompanied the tanks when they entered a town on their way to Germany. He was on the line in the battle of the bulge moving around in a group of three half tracks. No food or water or any warm clothes. Their guns were frozen. They found a frozen can of spam on the floor f the half track and shared it between them by chipping off pieces and letting it melt in their mouth. Fighting across to Remagen, his ammo carrier was killed and he was wounded in a crossfire between two German tanks. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
