WEATHER OFFICER: Officer in maintaining and operating weather stations. Forecasted weather for routine flights in a particular area. FLIGHT CONTROL OFFICER: Served with 1552 and 1571 Army Air Force Base Unit, Southwest Pacific Wing, Pacific Division, Air Transport Command as flight control officer assisted in the functioning of all phases of work in the Flight Operations Department. Helped with the movement of all aircraft through the Base Control Area, supervising clearances and enroute control of aircraft and coordinated procedures with communication, navigation, briefing and weather. Also supervised the maintenance of necessary records to accomplish the above mentioned missions. His twin brother served during the same time.
