Activity During WWII

After finishing 4 months of Intantry Basic Training in November of 1944 Frank C Davidson at the age of 18 went to Europe in 1945 and served as a surveyor in the field artillery and ended his European service by serving 5 months as an administrative NCO supervising the personnel activities of the 15th Engineer Battalion Headquarters, having jurisdiction of the 18 enlisted personnel who processed the release of German POWs. He returned to the US in August of 1946. He joined the National Guard while going to college and his unit was called to active duty during the Korean War where he served in Japan as a Second Lieutenant, infrantry and trained soldiers who were sent to Korea.
