Entered Active Service 14 August 1943 at Ft. Meade, Maryland. Was in Foreign Service from 14 January 1944 to 31 March 1945 with Company E, 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division in the Philippines. Contracted Dengue Fever and Malaria in Service. Separated from Active Service 2 November at Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey.
