Technician 5th Grade. Entered into the Army on October 17, 1942, at Fort Myer, Virginia. Served with the 44th Tank Battalion, Service Company. Saw combat with the 44th in the Bismarck Archipelago, New Guinea, and Southern Philippines (Liberation) campaigns. Honorably Discharged from service on November 9th, 1945. Awarded the Army Good Conduct Medal, AND American Theater, ASIATIC-Pacific Theater, Philippine Liberation, Philippine Defense, Meritorious Unit Award, and WWII Victory Ribbons.
