Activity During WWII

He entered the Army on October 6, 1942 at Fort Sheridan, Il. He was a Medical Aidman in the 419th Med Coll Co. On July 2, 1944 he departed the U.S. to go to Europe. On July 15,1944 he arrived in Europe. Subsequent to his arrival he was engaged in 4 Battles/Campaigns, which included Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. He received One Service Stripe, 2 Overseas Service Bars, American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon W/4 Bronze Battle Stars, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal. He left Europe on November 28, 1945 and arrived in the U.S. on December 6, 1945. He separated, from the Army, on December 12, 1945 and returned home to Chicago.
