Activity During WWII

He began his World War II service when his ship arrived in France on 24 September 1944. On 20 January 1946, he departed Europe. He was a medic with the 381st Field Artillery Battalion of the 102nd Infantry Division. His unit fought in the Battle of the Bulge. His awards include American Theater Service Medal, EAME Service Medal with Two Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, and World War II Victory Medal.
