Served from 10 August 1943 until 27 August 1945. Landed in Normandy 6 July 1944; assigned to 36th Traffic Regulating Group, First Army. Served as a jeep driver (MOS 345) and fought in the Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Cental Europe campaigns. Awarded the Purple Heart for wounds incurred 19 December 1944 in Belgium.
