Activity During WWII

He was a top turret gunner in the 341st bomb squadron of the 8th Air Force. He was decorated with the Distinguished Flying Cross after shooting down a yellow nose Focke-Wulf 190 in September of 1942 during a raid on Rotterdam. He was later KIA in North Africa around 22 November 1942.
