Activity During WWII

He served in the US Navy in both World Wars. In World War II he was a member of the Navy's antisubmarine intelligence and wrote and broadcast programs aimed at German submarine commanders. From 1945 to 1947, he was an associate United States counsel at the Nuremberg war crime trials. He helped the prosecution gather evidence against Nazi leaders Field Marshall Hermann Goering and Albert Speer, Hitler's official architect.
