Activity During WWII

He served in the US Navy from 1943 to 1945 assigned to the USS Burleigh APA-95 as a Motor Mechanic operating one of the LST boats transporting troops to the beach in WWII. He was actively involved in the invasion of Okinawa, Japan on Easter Sunday April 1, 1945. Later the Burleigh assisted in operation "Magic Carpet" bringing troops home.
