Activity During WWII

September 1944 sent to European Theater and served the infantry in England, France, Germany, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Reported MIA 16 December 1944, later found to be prisoner of war in Germany. Suffered frost bite to hands and feet & subsequently lost toes of both feet. Liberated 16 April 1945by the British and returned to hospital in USA. E.T.O. Ribbon w/3 stars, Good Conduct & Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's & Presidential Citation. Honorable Discharge 1 November 1945
