Activity During WWII

He served in the India-Burma and Central Burma Campaigns. He flew single-engine, unarmed planes over "the hump" and had hundreds of hours of combat flight in conditions that were dangerous and difficult. He received the Asiatic-Pacific Medal with two battle stars, Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, and the American Campaign Medal.
