He entered service on March 1942, served in ETO from September 1944 until April 1945. He served in Company B 772nd Tank Destroyer Division. Served in Norther France and the Rhineland. Injured April of 1945, at Dortmund, April 1945. Treated at Northington General Hospital, Tuscaloosa, AL. He received the Purple Heart. He was discharged in February 1946.
