Entered service July 4, 1942 and discharged December 26, 1945. Served overseas from February 8, 1943 to December 16, 1945. Served with Battery C, 135th Field Artillery Battalion and saw action in Tunisia and Rome-Arno. He later served as a chauffeur for Prime Minister Winston Churchill and high-ranking American and British Army Officers. Awarded the European-African-Asiatic-Pacific-Middle Eastern Service Medal, the Pacific Theater Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and Five Overseas Bars.
