Activity During WWII

He served during World War II from May 1942 to February 1946. He served as Watch Officer aboard USCGC Northland (WPG-49) and USCGC Buttonwood (WAGL-306). He served as Executive Officer of USCGC Tampa (WPG-48) and Commanding Officer of USS Nogak (WYP)-171), U.S. Army FS-158 and U.S. Army Y-14. Awards earned was the American Campaign Medal, Coast Guard Artic Service Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal. He passed away 24 May 20043.
