Activity During WWII

Seaman 1st Class Thomas Oblizalo served in the United States Navy from November 1944 to mid-1946. He served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater in late 1945 as a Signalman Striker. He was a Signalman on a ship in the Philippine Sea and was stationed on the island of Samar in the Philippines at Naval Supply Depot 3149. After a couple of months overseas, he returned to the United States on Treasure Island in San Francisco, California, where he was Honorably Discharged. For his service, he earned the American Campaign, Asiatic-Pacific, WWII Victory, and Philippine Liberation Medals.
