Activity During WWII

He was inducted into the Army in Sept. 1943 and Honorably discharged in Dec.1945 and achieved the rank of Sgt. Before induction he was a New York City Fireman. Battles and campaigns included Ardennes, Central Europe, Northern France, Rhineland, Go 33 WD 45 as amended. His decorations included WW11 Victory Medal, American Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Purple Heart (GO23 HQ 135th ENGR BN 21 NOV 44). Schools include were AAF Radio Code, AAF, Cryptograph. For the last 12 months he served as an Investigator with the counterintelligence Corp as a special agent and as an interpreter speaking German.
