He served as a lab Technician T3 and T5 with the 304th Station Hospital in Wales, England and Germany. The Unit established a hospital in Penley, Wales in Oct, 1943. In June 1944, the hospital moved to Kingwood Common near Reading England to care for mainly German POW’s after the Normandy Invasion. In July 1945, they set up a third hospital in Degerndorf, Germany. The hospital closed on 3 January 1946.
