He served in World War II from March 1941 to June 1945 as a Technical Sergeant in the 66th Ordnance Ammunition Company, supporting Allied operations across multiple theaters. He participated in seven major campaigns, including Algeria-French Morocco, Tunisia, Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, Southern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe, playing a role in the Allied advances through North Africa, Italy, France, and Germany. His service extended from the initial landings in North Africa in 1942 to the final push into Germany in 1945, contributing to sustained operations in some of the war’s most critical battles. For his service, he earned the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with a Silver Star (representing five campaigns), two additional Bronze Stars, the Good Conduct Medal, and the WWII Victory Medal. His extensive deployment and participation in multiple key operations made his service exceptionally long and distinguished.
