Activity During WWII

He served in the United States Army from October 31, 1942, to February 4, 1946. He was stationed at Camp San Luis Obispo in California at Military Police Basic Training (521) and as a Supply Clerk (835). He was then transferred to Fort F. E. Warren in Cheyenne, Wyoming, as a Munitions Handler (901). He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Marksman Badge with Rifle Clasp, Honorable Discharge Lapel Pin, and One Service Stripe. He was honorably discharged at the separation center, Fort Logan, Colorado.
