Activity During WWII

Private Prudencio Ayarzagoitia Jr. enlisted in the U.S. Army at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, on June 28, 1944. He was a loyal and disciplined soldier who developed a high sense of duty. His humor was a great morale builder, and he was well liked by his comrades. He served in the 325th Infantry Glider Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, and died of a gunshot wound in Germany on February 2, 1945. Private Ayarzagoitia is buried at Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery in Belgium.
