Activity During WWII

Signal Corps, 3110th, Company A. Trained at Camp Wood, NJ. He saw action in France, England, Scotland, and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. The Official Normandy Foundation listed him in the Wall of Liberty. In France, he worked with the French Foreign Underground (the "Fifi"). His medals and ribbons included Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Meda, World War II Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal (with Germany clasp), American Campaign Medal, Honorable Service Lapel Button (the "Ruptured Duck,") Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB). He remained in Germany after the war to oversee POWs rebuilding infrastructure. He was a Service Officer in VFW Post 4111, Porterville, CA, and was a Captain in the California State Military Reserves.
