Activity During WWII

As a Rifleman, he served in the 112th Infantry Regiment 28th Division in Europe. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and went missing in action on December 20, 1944. He became a POW on Christmas Day, 1944 and remained a captive until V-E Day when the war ended. He was awarded a Bronze Star, Purple Heart and POW medals during his service.
