ENTERED ACTIVE SERVICE ON 2 MAY 1942 AT NEW CUMBERLAND, PENNSYLVANIA. FOREIGN SERVICE FROM 14 OCTOBER 1944 TO 14 JANUARY 1946 WITH COMPANY B, 25TH TANK BATTALION, 14TH ARMORED DIVISION. AFTER ARRIVING AT MARSAILLES, FRANCE, ON 29 OCTOBER 1944, THE UNIT SOON ADVANCED INTO FRANCE AND FOUGHT ITS WAY INTO GERMANY. SEPARATED FROM ACTIVE SERVICE ON 17 JANUARY 1946 AT FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, PENNSYLVANIA.
