Activity During WWII

Entering service In June 1943, Costello went overseas In December 1943, participating in the battles of Ardennes, Central Europe, Normandy, Northern France and the Rhineland. He also holds the purple heart with two oak leaf clusters, the ETO ribbon with five battle stars, the presidential unit citation with cluster and the combat infantryman badge. He was wounded in France 1944.
