Activity During WWII

He served with the 117th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Battalion Division, 30th Infantry Division, Company L in Mariadorf-Alsdorf, Germany Spot. He was awarded the Bronze Star, and the Purple Heart. Landed on the beach of Normandy June 14th, 1944. According to a Missing Report, missing in action when he was wounded in action during an attack on Mariadorf. He left his company to get to the battalion station at Alsdorf and was not seen or heard from again.
