Activity During WWII

He served in the United States Army during World War II as a member of Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 65th Infantry Regiment. He entered active duty on May 15, 1943, at Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico, and trained as a Power Generator Operator (MOS 846), supporting field operations and essential military equipment. He was deployed to the European Theater, serving overseas from September 22, 1944, to November 9, 1945. During this period, he participated in the Rhineland and Central Europe campaigns, contributing to Allied operations during the final and most critical phases of the war. For his wartime service, he earned the American Theater Service Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, and the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, as well as Overseas Service Bars. He was honorably discharged on December 5, 1945, following the demobilization of U.S. forces after victory in Europe.
