Entered Active Service in the United States Navy, 24 August 1944 at Altoona, Pennsylvania. Served in Foreign Service on AP-13 USS George F. Elliott, 146th Naval Construction Battalion on Okinawa and APA-232 USS San Saba from 4 June 1945 to 2 March 1946. Separated from Active Service 13 May 1946 at Lido Beach, New York.
