He served as a Chief Radio Technician in the greatest Navy in the world. It crushed two enemy fleets at once, receiving their surrenders only four months apart. It brought our land-based air power within bombing range of the enemy and set our ground armies on the beachheads of final victory. It performed the multitude of tasks necessary to support these military operations. He was Honorably Discharged January 15th, 1946 from the U.S. Naval Personnel Separation Center Great Lakes, Illinois. He continued on to college and received his Electrical Engineering Degree from University of Illinois, February 1948.
