He received the following decorations: Combat Action Ribbon, Navy "E" Ribbon, Navy Good Conduct Medal, China Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal w/2 Stars, World War II Victory Medal, Navy Occupation Medal w/Asia Clasp.
