Activity During WWII

He was a Private First Class and served in the 3rd Infantry Division, Seventh US Army under the command of General George S. Patton and fought in the battle for Sicily. The Battle of Sicily, code-named Operation Husky was a major World War II campaign from July 9 to August 17, 1943, where Allied forces successfully captured the island from Axis powers. He was killed in action on August 10, 1943 and was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.
