Member of Hell's Angels, 303rd Bomb Group, 427th Squadron, Molesworth Airdrome, England. Served as utility gunner. Flew waist, ball turret and tail for 17 raids, then flew 19 raids as toggler-gunner. Dropped bombs and fired twin fifties in the 'chin' turret at Luftwaffe fighters. First airman to complete 36 raids in a tour.
