Activity During WWII

Graduated U.S. Naval Academy, first February graduation 2/7/1941. Served aboard Air Craft Carrier USS Wasp. Transferred to Submarine School in Groton, Connecticut then to USS Grayling SS-209, went down with the Submarine after April 23, 1943, probably tab as Strait off Philippines. 3/10/41-9/7/41. Wasp, February 22, 1943 to August/September 1943. Received the following: Purple Heart, American Service Defense Service Medal, Bronze A, Asiatic-Pacific Area Campaign Metal, Bronze Star and World War II Victory Medal.
