Activity During WWII

After studying Aeronautical Engineering at University in ROTC mid year of his junior year and on the Dean's List, he was moved to Flight Training. Upon graduation in May 1943 as 2nd Lieutenant and Pilot's Wings, assigned to B-24 Liberators. Crew left for the South Pacific September 1944 and was assigned to the 320th Squadron of 'Jolly Rogers', Heavy Bombardment Group, 5th Air Force. After a number of missions, unit moved to Tacloban, Leyte, The Philippines. All but two were lost.
