Wounded twice in Italy. Awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Star, Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, European-African-Middle Eastern Theater medal with four Bronze Battle Campaign Stars, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.
