Tail Gunner on a B-17 Flying Fortress. Crossed Atlantic on the Queen Elizabeth Ocean Liner. Spent 1 year in England. Started Ordnance Depot 0614 at East Harlingen. Joined General Patton's 3rd Army, August 8, 1944 in France. Entered France on D-Day June 6, 1944. Five Major battles: France, Germany, Luxembourg, Austria, Vienna. Occupation 3 months, Battle of the Bulge. Liberated Lipizzan Horses from Austria for General Patton.
