Captain. Commanding Officer of CN Company, 16th Infantry Regiment, which was awarded Presidential Unit Citation on Gela Beach in Sicily on D-Day, July 10, 1943. On Omaha Red on D-Day. Was awarded the Legion of Merit on D-Day. Killed in Action on his birthday, November 16, 1944, in Battle of Hamish in the Huertgen Forest.
