Inducted in the Army at Fort Snelling, Minnesota Fall of 1942. Then was sent to Camp Polk, Louisiana. Joined the 7th Armored Division. Sent to England on the Queen Mary on the 6th day of June, D-Day. He was a tank gunner on M4-105 Howitzer and was with the Division until it was disbanded.
