Activity During WWII

Entered U.S. Army military service in June of 1941. Attended military administration school in Monmouth Beach, New Jersey. Assigned to the 440th Signal Battalion serving in Australia and Papua, New Guinea. Entered in the Air Force Officers Candidate School (OCS) in January of 1943, located in Brisbane, Australia. Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant and served as an intelligence officer in the Air Corps. Attained the rank of First Lieutenant in the 5th Air Force. Assigned to Pine Castle Air Field near Orlando, Florida in the spring of 1945 and was separated from military service on September 5, 1945.
