Joined 11th Airborne Division, March 1945 on Luzon, Philippine Islands and fought as Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) Infantryman for 4 months on Southern Luzon. Flew to Okinawa and then Japan. Battalion was 1st American Troops in Japan.
