Enlisted man. Spent 11 months in the South Pacific, 1942-1943, as a Radar Technician in a Heavy Bomb Group. As an Officer, spent 12 months in training and combat in the South Pacific, as a Bombardier in B-29's. 24 missions over Japan, with the 39th Bomb Group, 61st Bomb Squadron, 314th Bomb Wing, 20th Air Corps. Received 3 Air Medals, the Distinguished Flying Cross, Unit Citations and Battle Stars.
