Activity During WWII

Enlisted in service a few days after Pearl Harbor bombing. Arrived at Parris Island, South Carolina on January 5, 1942. Boot Camp, assigned as Drill instructor, later transferred to Military Police. Became acting Corporal, sent to Officer Candidate School (OCS) at Quantico, Virginia, after commissioning sent to Pearl Harbor Navy Yard. Commanded one Company as a 2nd Lieutenant, later commanded a detachment on Ford Island. Made Captain and Major in reserve units after end of WWII.
