Served in the Medical Corps. Had numerous close calls during combat in Europe. 7th Army's 5th Infantry, Combat Team of the 71st Division. Suffered terrible wounds. As war wound down, went to the Concentration Camp at Gunskirchen, Austria, where 17,000 Russian and Polish Jews had been starved. Saw many atrocities.
