Inducted into the U.S. Army Forces in the Far East and served in Fort Mills in Corregidor, Philippines. Surrendered on May 6, 1942 and interred in Camp O'Donnell in Capas, Tarlac. Enlisted in Philippine Scouts, U.S. Army and assigned in Okinawa, 96th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Ordnance, APO 331.
