Activity During WWII

Commanded the 94th Division Reconnaissance Troops. After enlisting in March 1941, joined the 2nd Cavalry. Officer Candidate School (OCS) at Fort Riley, 1942. As a Lieutenant, was sent to the original cadre of the 94th Reconnaissance. Became a Captain 1943. Division sent overseas, 1944, to the European Theater of Operations. Troop used on offense. Helped breach the Siegfried Line and fought through the Saar-Moselle Triangle. Received a Bronze Star. Became occupation 'Mayor' of Krefeld, Germany before heading home.
